Travel

Traveling to Gästrikland is easy. In the fall of 2007, the new E4 highway will reach from Gävle, all the way to Stockholm, making travel by car even easier.  Another highway stretches westward through the region and passes Sandviken on its way to Hofors.  Gävle is an important railway hub, where trains from the entire country connect and local trains wait to take you further out into the region.
